Fertilisers

ARIF markets major fertilisers such as Urea 46% fertiliser, Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) fertiliser amongst others. Below are the types of fertiliser we supply and majority of them are from Ukraine, Russia, South america, Iran etc

Our Position

We work directly with End Sellers of Urea N46 fertiliser selling on CNF/CIF from the regions mentioned above. We also work in close connection with another end seller from Romania that sells on FOB.

What is Urea and What is it used for?

Urea or Carbamide is an organic compound with the chemical formula (NH2)2CO. The molecule has two amine (-NH2) groups joined by a carbonyl (C=O) functional group.

It is the most important nitrogenous fertiliser, a waste product formed naturally by metabolising protein in humans as well as other mammals, amphibians and some fish. Synthetic urea is produced commercially from ammonia and carbon dioxide.

Urea is widely used in the agriculture sector both as a fertiliser and animal feed additive, which makes the production of urea considerably high in comparison to other fertilisers. In the United States alone, approximately one million pounds of urea is produced every year.

Urea is a soluble compound and easily gets along with water. The chemical structure of urea helps it to be soluble enough as the hydrogen bonds with water molecules, each forming two bonds with oxygen. The planar structure further enhances its astonishing molecular point symmetry.

Extensively used as a chemical fertiliser, urea releases nitrogen into soil which is thereafter taken in by the plants On a commercial basis, urea is available as prilled or as a granulated fertiliser. The large granules are crystalline white and are highly resistant to moisture and thus facilitate long time storage as well. Today these granular shaped crystals of urea are blended with most of the fertilisers
